While this fundraiser began as a response to the recent 7.7 magnitude earthquake, closer investigation has shown that urgent aid is needed far beyond the directly affected areas. Ongoing conflict and displacement have left communities across Burma (Myanmar) in critical need of humanitarian support.

This fundraiser was initiated by a member of the Burmese community in Australia, who have close ties with people on the ground. Proceeds will be directed to trusted grassroots groups working directly in affected areas — with a focus on communities in the Sagaing region and Kayah State.

We’ll share a full list of the groups and organisations supported once all donations have been collected and allocated.
