It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that On May 21st, Carlos had a severe asthma attack. Destiny called 911 and performed CPR until they arrived (45 minutes later). Unfortunately, Carlos went into cardiac arrest and had to be revived. On the way to the hospital, Carlos had to be revived again, and his heart stopped for 4 minutes, causing his brain to seize and swell. Carlos was transferred to Children's Hospital in Morgantown, WV, and has been on life support. The MRI showed a lot of brain damage, including the stem, due to lack of oxygen to the brain multiple times for an extended period. Carlos is a kind and gentle soul, and we are heartbroken to see him suffer the way he is.

Carlos declined very rapidly and Destiny had to make a decision no parent should ever have to make. Destiny is seeking support to help cover funeral cost, and fix her house that insurance won’t cover because she wasn’t in a flood zone and she didn’t have flood insurance. Her life has been completely flipped upside down in the last 2 weeks! If we could pull together and help her at her time of need to try and get her life back together and lay her son to rest!
