Heartfelt Help for Ed and Rikki

My name is Brittany and I am sharing this on behalf of my sister Rikki and her fiancé Ed.

Ed has spent the last few years battling advanced heart failure. After many procedures, with no real progress, Ed was admitted to Presby Hospital where it was deemed necessary for Ed to receive a heart transplant.

It was a true miracle that Ed received a call on April 1st that he was getting a heart—and it was a perfect match! The transplant was successful and Ed is currently in the CTICU at Presby.

We are so incredibly grateful that Ed is starting the next chapter of his life, but as he recovers, he is still unable to work. My sister Rikki will also be out of work for several weeks, as she will be his primary caregiver.
