Hello friends, family, and everyone else that Ashley's story reaches! We have created this fund for our best friend Ashley Paige (Askwig) Irvin who is suffering from heart failure.
In 2009, Ashley aka "Skwig" was just about to return to Idaho State University for summer soccer training when she was having difficuly breathing. A chest x ray revealed that she had an enlarged heart and after a couple tests she was diagnosed with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy. Six months later she had a Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Device implanted on her heart, in 2013 she had a stroke, and here in 2014, after recieving a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) and being listed on Heart Transplant list, we find oursleves praying every single day that Ash gets a new heart. As you can imagine, Ashley's journey has been quite the financial burden on her and her husband and the rest of her family. Any donation, large or small, will make a difference. We have created an account in Ashley's name at Zion's Bank and these funds raised will be transfered into that account to help with hospital bills, medication costs, and for the overall heart transplant when that blessed day finally comes.
