Homeless individuals often face significant challenges in accessing basic necessities, which are essential for maintaining dignity and health. Harshita Narula and Hanika Atluri, two highschool students want to address this issue, to do so they started a project to assemble and distribute care kits which can make a meaningful difference. These kits will include toiletries such as hairbrushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, as well as socks, gloves, scarves, hats and water bottles with non-perishable snacks to provide both comfort and sustenance. The plan involves partnering with local businesses to secure donations of items and funding, ensuring community engagement and resource support. To further foster collaboration, a packing event will be organized, bringing together volunteers to assemble the kits. Once completed, the care kits will be delivered to shelters and directly to individuals in need, providing immediate relief and a reminder that their community cares.
