Heart & Sole Marathon Walk 2025
Donation protected
The Harrogate Heart & Sole Girls are stepping out once again for their annual Charity Walk in June. Following the tremendous success of their previous girls walk, where they raised a remarkable £27,000, the event promises to be bigger and better, uniting local women and supporters in raising funds for Candlelighters and Saint Michael’s Hospice.
The walk will begin at Harrogate Squash Club, with participants following a scenic route through Harrogate. This year’s goal is to surpass the 2021 total, with funds directly benefiting these two life-changing charities — Candlelighters, which supports local children with cancer and their families, and Saint Michael’s Hospice supporting people facing terminal illness across the Harrogate district, ensuring no one has to go through it alone. Their compassionate care and emotional support services are free to those who need them, funded primarily by the generosity of the local community.
“We are so grateful for the incredible support we received during the 2021 walk,” says Charotte, group leader or organiser. “We couldn’t believe we raised £27,000 on our last walk, it was an incredible achievement and surpassed our expectations. The day itself was an amazing experience with a wonderful group of women, we are hoping to make the same impact this year. It’s heartwarming to see how the community rallies together for such meaningful causes.”
