My name is Astrid Rivas I presently live in Dalton, GA, I am from Venezuela.
I am raising funds for "Corre por la Vida Foundation" a voluntary agency that helps with needs in their community.
The people that will benefit from your donation are the children and adults that are in dire need of food in Venezuela due to the scarcity of basic needs in the country.
In Venezuela the people are dying they don't have food nor medicines.
The funds will be used in three main areas: 1st at the "MIGUEL ORAA" hospital in Guanare Portuguesa state, Venezuela. When sick people come to this hospital there's no medicines, no medical supplies, no testing supplies for blood work, no cancer testing, no meds for cancer treatment, etc.
The second area the fund will be used for is the Oncology Department, with medicines, cancer treatments for the patients, we also will be able to provide meals, disposable dipers, personal hygene products, toilet paper, sheets, towels, desinfectants, transportation, different tests and exams at the pediatric and adult hospital, pampers, few clothes.. and all the basic needs that they are lacking.
The third area is in a jail also in Guanare. Prisoners are not provided with meals if their families don't bring them food.
Most of the time families dont have any food to bring them.
They need the funds as soon as possible, they can't wait because they are really sick, hungry, and starving to death.
All the support means so much to me because my country is in a devastating state where people are desparately seeking help at a time when there's so much need and no resources other than what we can do for them.
