Help Improve Our Mom’s Hearing for Her 70th Birthday

Hello, our names are Morelia and Andreina Chacón, and we are incredibly lucky to have a caring, sweet, and loving mother, Morelia Gomez. She is the most nurturing person we know, always putting others before herself. Unfortunately, she has been experiencing hearing loss, and after a recent test, she was advised to get a hearing aid to prevent further decline and reduce the risk of cognitive impairment.

Hearing loss runs in our family—our grandmother also struggled with it, and over time, it impacted her cognitive abilities. We want to do everything we can to help our mom avoid the same challenges.

Her 70th birthday is coming up on April 8th, and we would love to give her the gift of better hearing. Right now, her hearing loss is affecting her daily interactions and quality of life. However, hearing aids are expensive, and here in BC, Canada, they are not fully covered.

Hola, somos Morelia y Andreina Chacón, y tenemos la gran fortuna de tener una madre increíblemente cariñosa, dulce y amorosa, Morelia Gómez. Es la persona más atenta y dedicada que conocemos, siempre poniendo a los demás antes que a ella misma. Lamentablemente, ha estado experimentando pérdida auditiva, y después de un examen reciente, le recomendaron el uso de aparatos auditivos para evitar un mayor deterioro y reducir el riesgo de deterioro cognitivo.

La pérdida de audición es algo que ha afectado a nuestra familia—nuestra abuela también la sufrió y, con el tiempo, esto impactó sus capacidades cognitivas. Queremos hacer todo lo posible para que nuestra mamá no pase por lo mismo.

Su 70° cumpleaños se acerca este 8 de abril, y nos encantaría regalarle el don de una mejor audición. Actualmente, su pérdida auditiva está afectando sus interacciones diarias y su calidad de vida. Sin embargo, los aparatos auditivos son costosos y aquí en BC, Canadá, no están completamente cubiertos.
