Raising 75 for 75: Running for Healthy Mama, Healthy Baby

If you know even a little bit about me then you know that I spend countless hours running in the woods, working on 'no strings attached' cash transfers and (let's be honest) obsessing over my rose bushes. This summer I get the chance to combine two of the three and raise funds for The Neighbors Trust, Healthy Mama, Healthy Baby Program. Instead of playing scientist, this time I simply get to show up as a neighbor in my own backyard.
We live in the richest country on earth, but 1 in 5 of our babies are born into poverty and research shows that the first 1,000 days of a child's life are the most critical window for development, nutrition and long-term well-being. But, research also shows that cash transfers for moms can reduce stress, increase time spent with infants, increase food security and positively impact child development.
From August 1st- 3rd I'll be racing the Ragged 75 stage race in New Hampshire with 15,000 feet of climbing over 75 miles and 3 mountain passes in the White Mountains. I'm looking for supporters to join me in contributing $.75 per mile , $75 or otherwise for the Healthy Mama, Healthy Baby program in partnership with the Neighbors Trust and Puentes de Salud. All proceeds will go directly to The Neighbors Trust . If you would like to receive a tax receipt for your donation then you can pledge directly to The Philadelphia Foundation (fund managers) at this link. Please make a note in the comment box that it's for Ragged 75 fundraiser. I'll be posting updates here and on social media throughout the race.
