Health & Hope for Siargao Families
Imagine living where basic healthcare is out of reach…
In a small village on Siargao Island, even the most common illnesses can become serious simply because medical care is far away. Clinics are hours away, transport is limited, and many people go years without seeing a healthcare professional.
For many families, especially the indigenous communities, this is reality every day.
Hi! We’re Matt and Mona, a doctor and nurse couple from the UK, and this January 2026, we’re heading to Siargao to bring health, hope, and support to local families, especially those who don’t often have access to healthcare.
Working closely with Isla Medical Foundation, local community leaders like Maria Tokong of Siargao Island People’s Association (SIPA) and other volunteers, we will provide free health workshops, checkups, and education to families who might never otherwise see a doctor or nurse.
How your donation makes a difference:
- Supplies for free health checkups (blood pressure, blood glucose, etc.)
- Educational materials for workshops on preventive care
- Support for local leaders to sustain long-term health initiatives
This isn’t just a medical trip, it’s about connection, learning, and empowerment. Families will gain knowledge and tools to live healthier lives.
Every donation - big or small - brings hope, care, and wellness to those who need it most. Together, we can make healthcare a right, not a privilege.
Join us in bringing lasting impact—one family at a time.✨
Donations will also go towards the following equipment:
3 IN 1 MULTIFUNCTIONAL HEALTH MONITOR (CHOLESTEROL TEST KIT, GLUCOSE & URIC ACID) https://tinyurl.com/2exv34pj
Portable Blood pressure machines
Urine Test Strips Pack of 100 test strips (to check for kidney disease)
