Life's Interruptions is a podcast where grieving parents, survivors, advocates, and everyday people share the moments that forever changed their lives.

Through honest conversations, we explore loss, healing, faith, resilience, and finding purpose after life's greatest interruptions. Hosted by Denetra Smiley, founder of Smiley Connections LLC.

I will be inviting angel parents, their families, and their friends, to be apart of this journey with me.

In memory of my son, DeAndre Thompson, who died at the age of 28 in 2018, after battling Osteosarcoma Cancer for 3 1/2 years.

Grief can be an incredibly lonely journey, but you don't have to walk it alone. Sometimes, what we need most is to connect with someone who truly understands what we're going through.

Families who have experienced the devastating loss of a child—whether through illness, suicide, murder, or stillbirth—often face a journey of grief that can feel overwhelming and isolating.

Through Smiley Connections LLC and the Parents That Have Lost a Child Support Group, I am working to create a safe, supportive space where grieving parents and families can come together, connect with others who understand, share their stories, honor their children, and take meaningful steps toward healing.

I am currently planning my first On The Road to Healing Retreat, but funding is needed to make this retreat possible.
