Hi, my name is Donna and I'm starting a fundraiser with 2 of my best friends Leanne & Ashleigh for the, Healing Hub - Oxygen Therapy Centre in Wick.

This year we are taking on a challenge in hopes to raise money for the Healing Hub - Oxygen Therapy Centre.

The challenge will be over two weekends:

1)The 3 Peak Challenge in Golspie on the 30th May.

2) Tough Mudder near Edinburgh on the 6th June.

These 2 events are 7 days within each other..

A bit about the challenges:

The 3 peak Challenge, Leanne and I will hike the trio - Ben Horn, Ben Bragghie and Silver Rock. With a total of 13 miles.

Tough Mudder Leanne, Ashleigh and I will be taking part in a 15k run with 20 obstacles along the way. Our team name for Tough Mudder entry is "Spooter's Angels".

Now a bit about why we are doing this and our fundraiser.

4 years ago my husband, Bruce (Spooter), his health declined resulting in us being told he had taken Strokes, as time went on, last year he got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The health professionals ruled out Strokes, everything that has been going on in his/our lives since then, turns out that it was all to do with MS! The Healing Hub has been a massive help to Bruce and it's a wonderful resource to have in Caithness. It is a therapy chamber that give 100% oxygen. No other medication involved! The Healing Hub was first started in 1983 to help those with Multiple Sclerosis but as time has gone on, they have found that it can help other neurological conditions, eg, Fibromyalgia, After-effects of Stroke, Chronic Fatigue to name a few. It also helps conditions caused by inflammation such as Rheumatoid Arthritis & Psoriasis. It really is a wonderful resource to have up here in Caithness.

The people involved with The Healing Hub are all volunteers'. I am very thankful to them for the help and support they have shown to Bruce and I would like to give something back.

Leanne and Ashleigh are joining me with this fundraiser. They have both been my friends since school and with Bruce for many years. I'd also like to thank them for taking part!

Any donation big or small we will be extremely grateful for and all the money raised will be going to the Healing Hub here in Caithness.
