Our dear friend Connie V. is a God-fearing, loyal and devoted friend, sister, mother and grandmother who would never ask, but is beyond deserving of our support. At 74 years old, "NonNon" as her grandkids call her, has just been appointed the legal guardian and full-time caregiver to her 3 grandchildren, ages 8, 7 & 2 1/2. The children were abandoned by their drug addicted parents on April 15th. The children’s hearts, and Connie's home where they lived, were left in shambles. The broken toilet, sink, refrigerator, dishwasher, cabinets, ceiling fans and heavily soiled furniture and carpet are a daily reminder of the neglect the children endured. As Connie works tirelessly to mend her grandchildren’s broken hearts and bring normalcy to their lives, let’s come together to mend the things that are broken in their home.
