Our beloved friend Lisa Miranda remains hospitalized in a medically-induced coma after being found badly beaten in her boyfriend Andrew Hopkins’ apartment on October 18th. Lisa suffered head, body, and internal injuries from the abuse, while their 1-month old baby Charlie suffered from head injuries. Andrew is charged with kidnapping Lisa and multiple counts of assault. His bail was set at $750,000.

 

We are incredibly grateful that Lisa and baby Charlie are both alive. Their healing as well as the legal process to seek justice will take many years. With the blessing of Lisa’s family we have set up this fundraiser to support her during this long recovery. Donations will be used to support Lisa’s legal fees, unpaid leave from work, and for the future care and healing of her and baby Charlie.
