Healing for Ari

I would like for you to meet Aurelia Gail Patricia Day, better known as Ari. She is smart, sweet, loving and the most charismatic 16-month-old you would ever have the pleasure of knowing. That is one of the things that makes her story so unbelievably heartbreaking.

On Wednesday morning, the 5th of March, there was a life-altering accident, and she suffered a near drowning. Thanks to the quick actions of her mother and father, she received life-saving attention immediately. With CPR in progress, she was transported to North East Georgia Medical Trauma where they were able to get her heart started again. Once she was stabilized, they transferred her to Arthur M. Blank Children's Hospital in Atlanta. There, MRI images revealed she had suffered 50 to 70 percent brain damage. Her Doctors do not know how this brain damage will affect her or what her road to recovery will look like, but it will be a very long one with Ari's mommy and daddy there every single step of the way.

Ari has an older brother, older sister, and infant sister at home. Donations will help keep things going for her siblings and help take care of mom and dad's needs while they stay by her side in Atlanta.
