Healing After a 4-Wheeler Accident

Donation protected

I never imagined I would be writing this, but life has placed me in a situation I can’t face alone. If you know me, you know asking for help is something I’ve always struggled with—but right now, I need the love and support of my friends, family, and community more than ever.

On Saturday, August 9th, Chris and I were in a terrible 4-wheeler accident. We were climbing an embankment when the ATV flipped backwards and threw us both. In that moment, everything could have ended differently—and I thank God every day that we both walked away.

But I didn’t walk away without serious injuries. Because I was on the back, I hit the ground first—hard—on my spine. The impact caused a burst compression fracture of my L4 vertebra. My spine didn’t just crack—it shattered. Pieces of bone broke off and are now floating, with fragments pressing on my spinal canal. It’s terrifying and painful, and the road ahead is uncertain.

To make things even harder, this happened just two days before I was supposed to start a new job, and I don’t currently have insurance. I’ve since had to turn down that job because of my injuries.

After my first appointment with the neurosurgeon, the news wasn’t very encouraging. The fracture hasn’t gotten worse—but it also hasn’t gotten better. Because I’ve been experiencing weakness in my legs, they’ve ordered an MRI to check for possible nerve damage. For now, I’m officially out of work for at least three months. And every time I have an appointment, Chris has to miss work to take me—so the financial strain is hitting both of us hard.

Here’s how your kindness will help:
Medical bills from the ER, imaging, specialist care, and possible surgery
Home essentials to make healing easier and safer
Basic living expenses while I’m out of work and Chris continues to miss work for my care

Even the smallest gift makes a big difference in my recovery. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others—it truly means so much.

I believe better days are coming. This accident has tested me, but it hasn’t taken my hope. With your help, I can focus on healing and look forward to the day I’m back on my feet.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here for me.
