<div>My LIFE! I am ready for things to start going in a different direction. The fire I have had that has kept me going for so long is just about burned out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>i have no place to live… I might have options, but everything takes the one thing I don’t have.
</div>
<div>I need 400.00. I have been doing all I can to get it… work, uber delivery. DoorDash…. And that is where I am at…
</div>
<div>please if you can help… any little bit. Or share this … I’m desperate! Thank you!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What a year! What a year!! It has been a year since the accident … and I am convinced life just doesn’t like me…..
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It hardly seems possible that a full year has passed. Some days it feels like yesterday, and other days it feels like I’ve been climbing this mountain forever.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And just when I thought life had settled down, BAM!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Knocked down again by another curve ball.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have found myself without a place to live. ( Yes that means that I am not with Chris-any more detail will be answered in private) I was staying in my car…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My car.. my dream vehicle… totaled before I had it for a month. (Someone ran a stop sign…)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now I am out a vehicle, place to live, and still have a broken back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am starting to lose hope that I can get through all this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I do have a few things to be thankful for. Thankfully a friend has been letting me stay on an air mattress (not great for the back) in their living room. I am not sure how much more time I have here, but any amount of time I am thankful for.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thankfully I am working for the Braves again. It has been enough to help me keep gas in the car- when I had it- and get very few necessities. But it is something.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am beyond thankful and blessed for all of my friends that have helped me to this point. I was amazed at the love and support. I will never be able to repay you the way I feel you deserve to be. But thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Financially, I’m back to square one.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everything I had managed to save is gone. Bills continue to pile up while I’m still limited in what I can physically do. There are everyday expenses that don’t stop—food, gas, caring for my sweet dog, insurance, and simply trying to make it through another month.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ll admit something that isn’t easy to say.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Writing updates like this is hard because asking for help has never come naturally to me. I’ve always wanted to be the one helping others, not the one needing help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But this past year has humbled me in ways I never expected. now back to square one.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It has also reminded me that there are incredibly kind people in this world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you have already supported me in any way, thank you. You have helped carry me through one of the most difficult years of my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you feel led to continue sharing my story, keeping me in your prayers, or helping in whatever way you can, please know that every act of kindness—whether it’s a donation, a share, a message, or a prayer—means more than I could ever put into words.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I still believe brighter days are ahead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I still believe healing is happening.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And I still believe that someday this chapter will become part of a story of hope. But, it is getting harder and harder to believe….
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for continuing to walk beside me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With all my love and gratitude,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div>The original story:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On August 9th, Chris and I were in a serious 4-wheeler accident. While climbing an embankment, the ATV flipped backward, throwing us both off. We are incredibly grateful to have survived, but I didn’t walk away unhurt. The impact caused a burst compression fracture of my L4 vertebra, leaving fragments pressing against my spinal canal. Since then, I’ve struggled with severe pain, weakness, and numbness in my legs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because my doctors wanted to repeat my MRI a month after the accident to monitor how my spine was healing, surgery was delayed until October 6th. The operation itself went well, but recovery took an unexpected turn. I developed a post-surgical seroma that has caused spinal stenosis and painful pressure in my legs. I’m now on additional antibiotics and under close medical care — taking things day by day and staying hopeful that healing is just around the corner.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While I’m incredibly thankful to finally have insurance — which began on October 1st — the two months leading up to that were entirely out of pocket. From August 9th through October 1st, I had to cover every ER visit, X-ray, and MRI on my own. Thanks to the generosity of those who have already donated, I’ve been able to pay off part of those expenses, and I am so deeply grateful. As of now, though, I still owe $6,694.75 in self-pay medical bills, along with a $2,000 deductible under my new insurance. With no income until at least December, every bit of help truly makes a difference as I continue this healing journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, I haven’t been cleared to return to work yet, and it looks like I won’t be released with limitations until December, after my next appointment six weeks from now. This makes everyday living expenses, medications, and a few essential items for recovery especially challenging. It also hits hard with holiday shopping — while my family understands, my biggest worry is making sure the grandkids have a joyful holiday.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I can’t wait for the day I’m able to work again. More than that, I can’t wait to do the little things I’ve missed — putting on my own shoes and socks, doing laundry (we all know how much I love that, ha!), cooking a meal, or standing long enough to shop in a grocery store. All the simple things I once took for granted feel like milestones now, and with your support, I hope to get back to enjoying them soon.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your kindness can help me:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Pay off remaining self-pay medical bills and my deductible
</div>
<div>• Afford prescriptions and post-surgical care
</div>
<div>• Cover basic living expenses while I recover
</div>
<div>• Holiday shopping for the grandkids
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation — no matter the size — truly makes a difference. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing my story to help spread the word. Share with your friends and family. Share with your community, churches and businesses or organizations. It all helps!
</div>
<div>I hate asking, but since I have to, please share it as much as you can!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This experience has tested me in every way, but it hasn’t taken my faith or hope. I believe better days are coming, and I can’t wait to get back on my feet again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me heal and keep moving forward.
