Headstone Head 2 Head is Stevie Stones’ most ambitious fundraising challenge yet—combining physical endurance with powerful symbolism to support bereaved families across the UK.

Held on Sunday 21st June 2026, the event takes place across the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where teams of eight will carry a 60kg stretcher—the average weight of a child’s headstone—through rugged terrain from sunrise to sunset. This isn’t just a race; it’s a representation of the burden many families face after losing a child.

The challenge is designed to be both visceral and visible. Teams must keep the weight moving continuously between checkpoints, navigating steep climbs and uneven paths. It’s a test of teamwork, resilience, and purpose.

Every step taken helps raise funds for Stevie Stones, a charity founded in memory of Stevie Graham, which provides headstones for families who otherwise couldn’t afford one. With over 150 children currently without a memorial, this event is a direct response to that need—turning effort into dignity, and visibility into impact.

Whether you’re entering a team, donating, or sponsoring the event, Headstone Head 2 Head offers a chance to stand with families who carry grief every day—and to help lift that weight, one step at a time.
