Headspace Hundred - 100km's for youth mental health

Alright, friends. More of a less chat, more action type. But here we go.

July 20, 11 weeks out - The guzzler - 105km trail ultra. 4500m elevation gain, pretty brutal stuff.

Why - First things first - Headspace is doing amazing things for the community around Australia; they work in the youth mental health space. Proactive in mental health education and breaking the stigma around our mental health.
This is a topic that I hold very close to my heart. So, a big part of the reasoning behind this is to raise some money for them.

Do hard things-
Why the ultramarathon was quite simple, it seemed impossible. I'm not a runner. To date, the furthest I have run is 30 odd km's. But as a boxing coach, I'm always preaching to get comfortable being uncomfortable. Find hard and stay there for as long as possible. So practice what ya preach. I am going into the hurt locker for hopefully <15 Hours. No doubt the toughest day of my life.

My Aim for the next 11 weeks - Show up every day, regardless of how I feel. Train when it feels good and when it feels far from it. Find comfort in discomfort. Run 105 km on the 20th, raise some good $$$ for something I'm passionate about, and hopefully inspire my friends, family & community to back themselves and have a crack at whatever it is they want to do. LFG!

‘Our potential is much greater than the limitations we put upon ourselves.’

Cheers guys. All support is much appreciated; it goes a long way.
