Hello everyone! My dear friend Franklin Sitompul volunteers with a local NGO, YPK Bali, that helps people with disabilities through therapy, education, and empowerment. However, his life has drastically changed in the last five years, and he needs your help so that he can help others! Please read his story below:

“Dear Friends,

 

Five years ago, my life changed completely—I suffered a stroke that left me unable to work and dependent on others for basic needs. It was a difficult journey, filled with physical challenges and emotional setbacks. But by the grace of God, I’m still here, and I’ve never stopped believing that my life still has meaning and purpose.

 

Recently, a door opened.

 

I was introduced to YPK Bali, a local NGO that helps people with disabilities through therapy, education, and empowerment. They welcomed me, believed in me, and offered me an opportunity to be part of their work. I want to give back. I want to help others like me who are going through challenges and need hope.

 

But there’s one thing standing in my way: transportation.

 

In order for me to work and give my time meaningfully, I need a motorbike that is modified for my physical condition. Public transport is not practical for me, and I don’t have the financial means to buy or modify a bike on my own.

 

That’s why I’m reaching out to you.

 

I’m humbly asking for your support to help me raise enough funds to purchase a reliable motorbike and make the necessary modifications so I can commute safely and independently. Your contribution will not just give me a vehicle—it will give me a second chance. A chance to rebuild my life, to serve others, and to be a living example that no setback is too big when people come together with love.
