He Needs Help Not Jail

I need help to raise $10,000 to help bail my son out of jail who was arrested before the

Christmas holiday.

My son who suffers from mental disabilities was arrested and held at Rikers Island after

suffering a mental episode. During his detainment, he attempted suicide after being subjected to

violence at the hands of the inmates of the prison and was sent to Bellevue to be treated for his

illness. They plan on returning him to Rikers while he awaits a trial date unless I can bail him

out.

We are trying to post bail to have him released under our supervision so he can

undergo the necessary psychiatric treatment he needs while awaiting his trial. His father and I

have used our properties and personal assets as collateral to post a $100,000 bond but we

need to pay $10,000 cash upfront for him to be released.

It has already been advised to me by Bellevue medical staff that to return him to Rikers would

not only be detrimental to his physical and emotional well being but worsen his existing mental

issues as he can sit in prison indefinitely before his case goes to court. By that time his

conditions can be beyond our help.

Any amount provided will be greatly appreciated. It will give us the opportunity to give him the

proper help he needs and give him a fighting chance to be a productive citizen.
