Homeless without your help!

Hello my dear friends and family. I have started this go fund me page to help one of the most kind, dedicated and hardworking people I have ever known.  Despite her eagerness to work long  hours Michelle can only be described as a member of the "working poor". As a single mom she cares for her mother (who is blind and disabled) and her two children ages 14 and 10 years old. This family of four have just been evicted from their apartment and are currently living in a one room hotel close to the children’s school in Lynbrook. She has little money left and without your assistance this family  will end up on the street. Many of you may have met Michelle when she lovely cared for my mother Mary during her long illness. It was with Michelle’s encouragement and assistance that we were able to buy the home next door to ours, renovate it and set it up with all the necessary supplies to care for Mom at home. As the only source of income for her family of four, Michelle normally works 7 days a week often 16 hour days as a home health aide. The agency she had been employed with for many years is no longer operational and she had been forced to rely on private cases ( which are rare) while she attempts to find more secure employment. Adding to her financial difficulties Michelle does not have a car. Most of these private cases are not accessible by public transportation forcing her to rely on Ubers or taxis as her only means to get to work . Because she earns so little, these costs work usually end  up eating half of her days wages. 

I am hoping to raise at least $5000 dollars for Michelle and her family. Part of this money will go to securing an affordable apartment and the rest to buying a second hand car so that she will no longer have to rely on Ubers to get to work.

PLEASE,  PLEASE, PLEASE help me help her! This is an urgent appeal!
