Our hearts are shattered as we rally behind Lashawna Thomas, who tragically lost her 11-year-old son, Jamari, unexpectedly on Monday, February 3rd. No parent should ever have to endure such unimaginable pain. In the midst of her overwhelming grief, she is also caring for her two young children while trying to navigate this devastating loss.

Lashawna has been a dedicated and compassionate member of the West Shore Health Center team for nearly seven years. She began as a CNA, later becoming a med-tech, and continues to uplift her peers as part of the CNA leadership team. Now, in her time of need, we want to support her the way she has always supported others.

We hope to ease the financial burden of living expenses and childcare so she can take the time she needs to grieve, heal, and be there for her children.
