Ambridge Concerned Citizens

We are dedicated to preserving the historic building and character of Ambridge and the post-industrial clean, quiet environment that so many long-time and newcomer residents and business owners cherish. This fund is dedicated to paying the legal fees and other related costs necessary to defend and protect zoning integrity and to assure that only appropriate rehabilitation and new construction take place. Everyone who lives, works, and visits Ambridge will benefit from minimizing pollution and truck traffic and from appropriately located residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Our first goal is to keep a large truck maintenance and repair yard from being built adjacent to the Historic District. We have already hired a law firm that specializes in zoning matters to defend against a zoning variance request from Beemac Trucking. We need the funds IMMEDIATELY to continue to fund legal work and to proceed through the court system as and if necessary. Our local team is composed entirely of VOLUNTEERS, and we welcome all to join our Facebook group and various other activities. However, without significant financial support from the Ambridge area community and friends living elsewhere, we may have difficulty retaining our lawyers and necessary expert witnesses, researchers, and other support professionals through the legal process to final VICTORY. Every dollar counts and is deeply appreciated. Together, we are building an Ambridge that will once again be known as THE place to live, work, and visit. Thanks for your support.
