Help Us Save Our Family Home

Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. My name is Robert Hugo, and I find myself in the most challenging moment of my life.
For the past 16 years, my wife and I have poured our hearts into building our family home—a place filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. It’s more than just a house; it’s where our children took their first steps, where we celebrated every birthday and holiday, and where we’ve built a lifetime of cherished moments. This home is the foundation of our family, and losing it would feel like losing a part of ourselves.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have fallen six months behind on our mortgage, and the arrears have reached a staggering $20,000. The bank is now moving toward repossession, and despite our best efforts to avoid this situation, we find ourselves out of time and options. That’s why I am reaching out to you, my community, for help during this critical time.
We’re not seeking a miracle from just a few generous souls; instead, we’re hoping that many kind-hearted people might be willing to contribute just a little. If 1,000 compassionate individuals could each donate $20—the cost of a meal or a movie ticket—it could help us stop the foreclosure and save our beloved home.
Every cent raised will go directly toward:
- Paying off the $20,000 mortgage arrears
- Covering legal and late fees
- Stopping the repossession process
- Stabilising our housing situation in the long run
Suppose we are fortunate enough to receive contributions beyond our goal. In that case, those extra funds will help us rebuild a small emergency cushion, ensuring that we won’t find ourselves in this vulnerable position again.
We never imagined we’d be in this situation, and the reality of possibly losing our family home is overwhelming. The thought of not having a safe place to call our breaks my heart. This experience has opened our eyes to how fragile stability can be, and it has deepened our appreciation for the sanctuary that home provides.
To everyone who has taken the time to read our story, I can’t thank you enough for your compassion and support. Your kindness reassures us that we are not alone and reminds us that there are genuinely caring people in this world who stand together in difficult times.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your empathy and generosity. Your willingness to listen to our story and offer support means everything to us. We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that truly cares.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Robert Hugo
