We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of Luke Prehn, a devoted husband, loving father, brother, son, and friend, who tragically passed away at just 41 years old while participating in the HBF Half Marathon.

Luke leaves behind his beautiful wife, Charmaine, and their two young children, Oliver and Cameron. aged just 4 and 2, who were his entire world.

Anyone who knew him knew the kind of man he was — endlessly patient, gentle, hardworking, and kind. He was the person who showed up for others without hesitation, loved his family deeply, and made everyone around him feel supported and cared for.

In an instant, my sister and her babies have lost their husband, dad, protector, and best friend. Along with the unimaginable grief they are now carrying, they are also facing the overwhelming financial pressure of raising two young children alone and managing a large mortgage without him.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden and allow my sister the time and space to grieve, support her children, and begin navigating life after this devastating loss.
