My sister and her husband have had a rough start to parenthood. Tiffany (my sister) has been through a lot, between a diagnosis of BOTH diabetes type I & II, multiple procedures to help with conceiving their baby for a few years, to finally getting their dream of having a child of their own, to having pre-eclampsia and the need for an emergency c-section at just 32 weeks. Not to mention the trouble they had with controlling her blood pressure afterward. Zane made his arrival into the world at 4 lbs 14 oz and 18 inches long. HE IS PERFECT! Due to the medications needed to help control/lower Tiffany's blood pressure, she has been unable to produce any milk to breastfeed, she's incredibly heartbroken over this. Zane has had his fair share of struggles as well. He's been in the NICU since birth, with oxygen to help support his underdeveloped lungs, IVs, and a feeding tube. He has since been taken off the oxygen and has learned how to suck on a bottle! Yay Zane!! Unfortunately, he's not out of the woods completely. But we're keeping our spirits and prayers up. With all this going on they have both missed a lot of work (Tiffany is now on Maternity Leave) so they are down to one income. All the traveling to and from the hospital, since they can't physically stay there with Zane they are having to go back and forth from Manor to Austin (and we all know gas isn't cheap!). Cody (her husband) has been her rock through all of this. His love and support for both his wife and son are absolutely amazing! I never really understood what people meant when they would say there is a perfect person for everyone, that is Cody and Tiffany. I am setting this up to try and help them through this new journey of life. Unfortunately, bills, cleaning, and daily tasks don't stop just because we are busy doing something else. Anything helps!
