Hi, my name is Mathilde and last year I was fortunate to meet Hayley who began working with me as a secondary school teacher in Oxford.
Hayley moved to the UK from South Africa to give her children a better life. One where as a single mother she doesn't have to worry about their safety.
Sadly whilst her visa was delivered, her childrens' were denied. This led to the difficult decision to come to the UK on her own and work, while her children remained with her mother until the visa appeal was resolved.
Unfortunately, over the last five months the visa process has faced numerous bureaucratic challenges and unforeseen setbacks during which she has been unable to see her children.
Due to financial and work constraints, and limited support back in South Africa, she finds herself unable to return home at the moment.
Speaking on behalf of Hayley's friends and colleagues, we have been touched by her dedication and caring character, and recognise how difficult the last few months have been for her.
I have therefore set up this fundraiser for those of us who wish to support her in reuniting her with her children. The prohibitive prices of flights to Port Elizabeth have prevented Hayley from travelling during the school holidays to see them.
We are therefore fundraising for a return ticket for Hayley to return to to Port Elizabeth, South Africa, see her children and see them all returned safely to the UK. Please donate what you can to support.
