Haylee Strong

Hi, my name is Mark and I am a close friend and co-worker to the father of this remarkable young lady. Haylee Dowdell is a 13 year old eighth grader at Tarkington Middle School. She is sweet and sassy, funny and classy. She is full of spirit and constantly assuring her parents that everything will be ok. She is beginning a journey that no child should ever have to experience. On January 26th 2021 she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Her treatment will begin immediately and carry on for 6 months. She will be allowed to come home for 2-3 days between the month long treatments provided things go well. For those of you who know her, you know that her spirit is strong and she is determined to overcome this and recover. These next 6 months will be trying on both Haylee and her parents. This page has been established to help ease the financial burden on this family. All funds will go towards unforeseen, unknown and any excess uncovered medical expenses.
