Bring Christmas 2026 Magic to Haxey.

For the 5th year running on 28th November 2026 ‘We Live Here-Haxey’ volunteers are proud & excited to be hosting once again the ✨Haxey Christmas Lights Switch On & Christmas Parade✨.

Every year, our Christmas lights & parade brings warmth, joy & togetherness to our community. The sparkling lights✨, festive floats & smiling faces are what make the season so special – but this wonderful tradition only happens with the help of your generous support.

We are completely lead & supported by passionate volunteers & all funds raised go back into the community lights & celebrations to make our village shine & help us to kick off the Christmas festivities by having an amazing party & bring people together.

Throughout our 5 years we have always been fully insured, compliant, regulated & licensed by North Lincolnshire Council.

To undertake this event it currently costs over £1,000.00. Next year new legislation relating to the Terrorism Act will mean we have to comply with additional safety measures which will impact on our funds, so, we have taken the decision to share this information with our supporters & ask for your help to raise much needed funds during the year to ensure that we can continue, to, not only celebrate with you this year, but help to future proof our event for years to come.

We are determined to keep our amazing Christmas event one of the main focuses of the year in our village so we are going to need your help.

We have had an overwhelming amount of messages of support from you & businesses in person & via socials to keep these celebrations going.

We are officially kicking off our fundraiser for this year with the publication of our GoFundMe page, so your donation – no matter the size – helps create magical moments for families, friends & neighbours. Please share this message with family & friends.

We will continue to do our very best to access funding & organise fundraisers throughout the year, so keep your eyes peeled for the posters, adverts in local publications & socials for more opportunities to party & enjoy each others company.

We are also looking for volunteers to help before the event to plan the shenanigans or help with the event on the day, if you have a couple of hours to spare or some ideas please get in touch, via email: secretary@weliverhere-haxey.group.

We love where we live, we love bringing people together to celebrate & have fun, so let’s make Haxey shine brighter than ever.
