Haus of Armour was created with a simple but powerful intention—to offer another pathway of healing and recovery for women who are survivors of domestic violence in the Northern Rivers, and to create a safe space where empowerment can begin again. Haus of Armour is a fashion styling studio, but it is much more than just clothing. It uses dress as a therapeutic tool to support women in rebuilding their self-worth, reclaiming their identity, and restoring their sense of self that is often lost through trauma and abuse. For many women, choosing what to wear again is not just a style decision—it is an act of courage, ownership, and renewal. Each woman walks away with four outfits gifted to her without cost, but more importantly, she walks away with dignity, confidence, and a renewed connection to who she is. So many women have shared that this experience has significantly improved their mental health and overall wellbeing.

You know Kate I was actually thinking of going back to him yesterday. But now after this styling session I feel worthy and deserving of something good and I’m excited to move forward by myself and what the future might bring.

This woman was subjected to years of abuse and instead of returning to him, the simple power of clothes made her believe that she was worth so much more.

Right now, we are reaching out to the community for support. The immediate goal is simple but urgent: to secure enough funding to cover the rent and keep the Studio’s doors open for the next year and a half. With your help, Haus of Armour can continue its work and remain accessible to those who need it most. There are many ways to support this effort.
