Harvey Fund for Naomi Iyoha

Thank you all for wanting to show support to Naomi Iyoha as she endures the aftermath of Harvey.  As most of you may know, Houston was hit very hard with rain and many homes were flooded.  Unfortunately, Naomi’s was one of them.  They were lucky to have a 2nd floor to escape to however still needed to be rescued by boat and taken to a shelter.  She has 3 very young sons and a husband.  One of her boys got very sick as the rain was cold and he already had a touch of asthma.  Thankfully is better now and fortunately they all are OK but it has been a very emotional rollercoaster for all in her family.  They had to wait for over 24 hours for the rescue boat and were very scared.  She is now staying with her sister whom she will stay with until her house is livable again.  She has not yet been allowed back in her house to assess the damages but the first floor was completely underwater for more several days so I can only imagine what that has done structurally as well as the mold it will cause.  The area she lived did not require flood insurance so I am not sure what this means for coverage on getting her home fixed so we were thinking the best way to help is sending Visa gift cards or send money to this link.  Her address for gift cards is 7431 Boxwood Ridge Lane, Richmond, TX 77407.
