Harvell/Lemna Family Fund

Donation protected
Greetings!  My name is Melissa and I am reaching out to my friends, family and fellow humans to ask for your support.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Christine Lemna (Harvell) for the past 20 years. We have grown into the adults we are today together, and I consider her my very best friend and my soul sister.   When I think of her, I think of laughter, dancing, life and love.   She is the strongest human I have ever known and is an insanely devoted mother and wife.  However, life has recently dealt her (and her family) a very rough hand.

Recent Medical History

At the age of 33, Christine was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  She has had multiple doctor's appointments, scans, blood tests, radiation treatments and surgeries to try to beat it.
It has been about 2 years since the initial cancer diagnosis, and doctors still won't say she is in the clear. Her antibody testing still comes back abnormal. Recently, suspicious masses have appeared in her breast tissue that required surgical removal.  What cysts and masses remain must be watched constantly.  Which means more testing, appointments and praying for the best.

Josie, Josie, Josie

Ms. Josephine.  Oh, how I love that girl!
Josephine is Christine and Ty's 6 year old daughter.  She is beautiful, loves dancing and playing with my son Jack.
Josie also has autism.  Having a child with autism means Christine and Ty must meet different demands as a parent.  For example, Josie requires therapy 5 days a week to help her develop socially and intellectually.   Being the amazing parents that they are, they also want to have Josie participate in extracurricular activities, such as swimming classes and special needs baseball.  Only because of these therapies, activities and her parents time and love is Josie where she is today.  However, to continue developing as well as she is, she will need to keep doing therapy for the foreseeable future.

Recent Life Events

Christine made the hard decision of quiting her job a couple years ago so she could tend to Josephine and her therapies full time.  And as if the mental and financial load of all the above mentioned were not enough, 2 months ago Ty's position at his company was outsourced.  Which means the company let him go and there is currently no income for the Lemna family.   Their medical coverage will also cease in the next few weeks.  Though Ty is currently looking for a new job, times are getting tough.  Medical bills keep piling up.  Things like paying for rent and basic needs are becoming a daily battle.   The mental stress and anxiety is overwhelming.
But you can help!

All money collected will go toward helping pay for:

*Medical expenses
*Therapy/activities for Josephine
*Basic needs

Any amount would be more then appreciated to help the Lemnas through this hard time!  Please spread the word and thank you so much!!
