We are Adopting!!

We are so excited to share this news with you all! We had so much fun sharing this news with our families over Christmas and marveling at the doors God is opening for us! Josh and I have been thinking back to the conversations we had about adopting in high school and college and are so thankful that God is allowing us to walk into this dream we’ve had for so many years.

You may have lots of questions like our family did—When? How soon? Boy or Girl? Where from? Domestic or International? What age? All of those are great questions! For now, all we can say publicly is that we have a private attorney and agency in America that will match us with a birth mother and that we will be adopting a new born! We will be SO excited to share more about our baby in time!

For now, we have a couple goals and prayer needs in this process. We even debated a big deal on when to tell everyone publicly but Josh and I believe, more people, more purpose! Meaning, we want YOU, our community, family, and probably people we don’t even know yet, to join us in this journey from the very beginning to witness with us what God does through the adoption of our baby!

Our overall adoption will likely be around $40,000. Our first financial goal is $20,000. We know that is a big number, and we do not ask lightly for you to join us. But we do know what God can and will do through His people and community! First and foremost, we ask you to join us in prayer. More than just the money, we need prayer, specifically for endurance. We’ve been tempted to sprint out of the gates, but as we’ve been told by other adoptive parents, this is a marathon. And we ask that you would pray that God would guide to right people to partner with us financially.
