A little gift. A big Christmas smile.

This Christmas, Harrisons Taxis is bringing our local community together to help brighten the day of people spending the festive season in hospital.

We’re raising money to buy new toys, books, games and other suitable gifts for local hospital patients. Our aim is to support children’s wards and cancer wards at Northampton and Kettering hospitals, with receiving wards, gift requirements and delivery arrangements confirmed before gifts are purchased and delivered.

Our team has already spoken with Disney ward at Northampton General Hospital and received children’s wishlists. Arrangements with the other intended receiving wards are still being coordinated.

HOW YOUR DONATION WILL HELP

This is a fundraiser organised by Harrisons, rather than a direct donation page run by a hospital charity. The organiser will receive the funds and use the money available after GoFundMe processing fees to purchase gifts approved by the receiving hospital teams. We’ll keep purchase records and share a fundraising total and handover update so you can see what your support has provided.

Our initial fundraising target is £1,000. Any additional money raised will be used for further suitable gifts for the agreed receiving wards. If a planned ward cannot accept gifts, we will update supporters before reallocating funds to another local hospital ward.

PREFER TO DONATE A GIFT?

All donated gifts must be BRAND NEW. Toys intended for ward use must be washable for infection control.

We’re also arranging gift collections at our Moulton Park and Wellingborough offices. Please wait for our confirmed wishlist, collection dates and drop-off details before bringing gifts. These will be shared through Harrisons’ social pages and fundraiser updates.

WHO SHOULD DELIVER THE PRESENTS?

We’re planning a community vote between Harrison the Hippo, the Grinch and Santa to join our gift handover. The character’s attendance and any patient visits will be subject to hospital agreement.
