Harrell-Walker Family's NICU Journey

My name is Ashley Simon and I am here on behalf of my cousins, Tara "Harrell" Walker and Jason Walker.

In the early morning hours of Christmas Eve, Tara woke up with extreme bleeding. Upon arriving at the hospital, it was determined Tara was suffering from a Placenta Abruption and needed to have an emergency c-section to save her and the baby. Estella Jean was born 14 weeks premature on December 24th, 2024, weighing only 1 lb 9 oz. She is currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital, where she will remain for at least the next three months. Estella is the proud little sister to Mara Camille (7 years old) and Emiliano (10 months old).

My cousins just purchased their first home two months ago, and they were so excited to grow their family again. With Estella's lengthy hospital stay and having two small children at home, they will be spending the foreseeable future visiting Estella in the NICU daily, managing Mara's school and activities schedule, and being attentive to Emiliano. Tara is a self-employed Nail Technician and will need to take time off work to heal, and Jason recently started a new career and has needed to take time off work.

Donations will be going to the Walker family to assist with medical bills, groceries, gas to and from the hospital, and any other expenses that may arise. They work incredibly hard and are too prideful to set this up for themselves. No donation is too small. If you prefer another form of donation, please reach out to me.
