Harpeth Woods Repairs

Hi Neighbors,
Our poor entrance signs are in need of some love. The winter freeze damaged the bushes, the solar lights are broken, weeds growing everywhere, green mold is growing on the bricks, and the North sign landscape wall has completely crumbled.

While we all enjoy the advantage of not having an HOA bill every month, this means sometimes we need to kick-in on a volunteer basis to keep things maintained. Here’s the ask:
- North landscape wall - I’ve contacted a couple masons to look at it, and I’ve received quotes between $1,200 - $1,800. This repair is beyond a simple brick repointing. The entire wall has shifted and is broken in three places.
- Bushes – We need eight $50 bushes to spruce up both signs, that’s $400.
- Mulch – few bags for each sign, not expensive <$40
- Solar lights – Four quality solar lights (2 each sign) will run $50-$75/each. Total ~ $300
- Sign Paint – Need to repaint the letters on the North sign. No real cost, just need a volunteer with a steady hand.
- Pressure wash – Everything needs a good pressure wash to remove the green mold. Again, no real cost, just need volunteers.
Total: Approx $2,500
We have 40 homes in our neighborhood, $2,500 shouldn’t be too difficult to collect. Again, this is completely voluntary, Give whatever you’re comfortable giving. If we collect more than our budget, we’ll use the remaining funds for fence repairs/cleaning & hiring a lawn service to mow the ditch.
We drive all over Williamson County seeing beautifully maintained entrance signs. Our signs are a little older and tired, but we can bring them back to glory with a little effort! Thanks everyone!
