Together with Cassidy Friedman, an award-winning filmmaker, Harambee Arts is creating a 10-minute video to share the story of Harambee Arts. The film budget is $55,000. We have already raised $25,000, and a matching grant in the amount of $5,000 has been offered.

The video will draw out the core message that ultimately defines what HARAMBEE ARTS is about: Transforming and improving the lives of women and children who have suffered the devastating effects of trauma caused by violence, illness, poverty, trafficking, and other crises through Expressive Arts Therapy.

The video will live on the Web to attract funders and partners, generate visibility of HARAMBEE ARTS, and create a sense of urgency - and yet timelessness - for the organization’s underlying message, the use of creative arts and LOVE as tools for healing and empowerment.

We will also inspire others to reach out and impact their own communities.
