Jen Elshoff Fox and William “Billy” Fox were blessed with their first child Harlyn Rae Fox on June 28th, 2020. She entered the world a little earlier than anticipated weighing only 3lbs 6ozs. Harlyn spent the first two months of her life in the NICU unit at Jersey Shore Medical Center. On September 5th, after 70 days, countless miles of commuting back and forth, many of work days missed and who knows how many sleepless nights, little Harlyn finally made it home. Jen and Billy could not have been any happier to have their precious baby girl home. Little did they know that commuting back and forth to hospitals was going to become a regular part of their lives for months to come...
Recently, Harlyn was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma (liver cancer), which is a rare tumor which originates in cells on the liver. After having several procedures, Harlyn had a port inserted to begin chemo this past Tuesday. The next six months will be very tough for Harlyn but she has already proven to be a trooper. The emotional stress this will put on Billy and Jen is unimaginable. They will spend countless days commuting to “The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.” Our goal is try to eliminate one of the many obstacles this family is experiencing. Both Jen and Billy will have to take numerous days off work and stay many nights in Philadelphia. They will have deductibles, commuting expenses and who knows what else they will encounter. I know these are difficult times for many but please show Jen, Billy & Harlyn whatever love and support you can...
