Harley to get diagnosed with his pda odd autism
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Martin.
I’m asking anyone who can help my 10 year old boy get what he needs after school failing him
harley is 10 years old and suffers with interaction with others. Sensory issues. Sensory overloads. Although we do have ehd plans in place We have been fighting for 3 years with school, and the local school government body’s who are well aware that Harley struggles massively.
over last 3 years Harley has rapidly declined in education, and is currently in year 5. Harley struggles to complete small daily activities and is being permanently excluded from primary school.
harley has done nothing wrong, just can’t engage with a simple task and needs one to one assistant all time. His school has decided not to help further improve their ways to help him. We have had local sen team in and head of cdn team who have tried to help Harley in always .
however after having meetings upon meetings there is no other choice then to send him to special school where they can help and have the right team to accommodate his needs.
harley is 10 yo. Can’t dress himself. Needs prompting continuesly to follow any short instructions given.
everyday simple instructions Harley can’t do. Harley needs instruction after each thing he has completed. He is closed up and can’t make friends. He is also very hyper sensitive to touch leading to overreactions and major anxiety and outbursts
school day he is a danger to all staff an pupils at school yet Harley has never hurt anyone. When we ask school about what’s go on for him to act like this they say oh he pushed the pencil tray on floor or swore or even kicked the den making blocks.
never has he hurt anyone. School reduced his full time hours to 9am-11am permanently all because he has outburst and they find it frustrating
this his so hard to explain sorry if I’m not making sense.
we are looking to raise as close to £2000 to get him his private diagnoses that is government approved and local council approved so we can finally get him his help and into a school that can support him.
we have been down all other medical and tests etc. Harley has been excepted on to the dla ladder and also child in crisis.
we have spoken to a school who can except him but will need this diagnosis in order to except him
if you’re still reading, here’s a promise made by school to Harley as a motivation for him
Harley if you do well at school and do all your schoolwork you can have whatever you on Friday for lunch
Harley did just that with the help of myself encouraging him. They then said he can’t have food at school as he’s not in at lunchtime and all food school give must be ate at school and can’t give it him to take home.
failed promise. Jacket potato and beans he worked hard for and they said no
please can you help
