Happy Holidays! Support HPS and Preserve Hellenic Culture
Tax deductible
Hellenism, while deeply intertwined with the Greek Orthodox Church, is also the realm of classical studies, including ancient mythology, philosophy, arts, and the Greek diaspora.
HPS is an educational organization that sponsors or supports relevant cultural events such as lectures, art exhibits, concerts, drama, dancing demonstrations, book signings, fashion shows, social events, and numerous ethnic festivals. Each year, HPS and the Cleveland Museum of Art sponsor the Annual Collis Lecture, alternating between Classical and Byzantine topics.
The HPS website is growing into a comprehensive history of the Hellenic experience, with listings, articles, videos of presentations, and lectures, as well as an area devoted to classics and mythology and even an Agora shop.
Through the Museum Without Walls periodicals, ethnic costumes, embroidered textiles, pottery, commemorative and decorative household pieces, liturgical items, iconographic art, and more are replicated online. The actual items have been preserved in storage, and HPS is always seeking donations.
Your generous donation will HPS grow and preserve our Archives and Collection, The Museum without Walls, the Collis Lecture and all the other events and presentations in which we participate to increase the awareness of HPS and the remarkable culture that it represents.
