Happy Birthday to the Iconic KBLA Talk 1580

From life transformative shows like "The Millionaire’s Roundtable" with Lynn Richardson  to humorous yet thought-provoking shows like "The DL Hughley Afternoon Show" with DL Hughley  that make "people laugh a lot, and think a little,” KBLA’s extensive programming consistently delivers heaps of enlightenment, empowerment and encouragement.

In the wake of recognizing social injustices and understanding the power of media, and with daily programs hosted by Tavis Smiley  and Dominique DiPrima , KBLA Talk 1580  gives disenfranchised fellow citizens a voice; an empowering, sustainable, and restorative language – a safe space to express their fears, frustrations, experiences, aspirations and hopes during this national time of protest and reflection.

The station needs our help to make it more than just a radio station, but rather a community portal for progress.

The California Black Chamber of Commerce  (CBCC) is making an initial contribution of $5000 to the station and is asking our supporters and member companies to back our financial effort with a corporate contribution. We are also requesting the public to highlight the occasion by contributing small dollar donations to the crowdfunding effort of this historic and rare Black-owned and operated talk radio station, 1 of only 4 in the nation. And no talk radio station in the country has as many Black women hosting talk shows as does KBLA Talk 1580.

No amount is too small. Join us by making a gift and become part of real social change. Your gift of $5, $500, or $5,000 will help us transform the political, social and economic topography by giving everyday people a voice, 24/7.
