Dear Family and Friends,
Welcome to Hans’s memorial page.
Though we might know Hans from different time and places, one thing was unequivocally the same - you could always depend on him. Whether it was as a son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, teammate, mentor, co-worker, or employee, he would give his all to not let you down.
We could tell you how he departed this world in all the unpleasant details. However, to see his name written side-by-side with something so tragic would just be too heartbreaking. We prefer to immortalize him for the good he represented and inspired, and for the blessing he was. (Please refer to Hans’s IG: hanzocooksandeats )
Hans is survived by his retired parents and two brothers, which were never prepared for this, emotionally and financially. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we set up this GoFundMe fundraiser, because truly we wish it was nothing more than just a bad dream. It is very difficult coming to terms with the fact that we won’t ever see our youngest family member again. Unfortunately, life can be unfair, painful and too real.
Please consider making contributions to Hans and his family. Your donation will help Hans’s family navigate through these challenging times which include legal matters (probate), mortgage payments, possible relocation, and any other unforeseeable costs. Since Hans’s birthdate is on the 27th, we thought it would be fitting to set the goal to $27,000. Even though there is no funeral for privacy reasons, we will keep Hans’s IG open for communication. We shall try our best to accomodate any of your questions or concerns.
We still hope and pray Hans would come back to us one day, so we could all send him off properly. It is the least he deserved. However, even if he doesn’t, let’s not be too hard on ourselves, because he never liked to trouble other people, and is doing what he loves - traveling around the world.
We, Hans’s family, would like to convey our most sincere thanks and gratitude for your prayers and contributions. May God bless you and your family in abundance and keep harm far, far away. Amen.
