My daughter, Scout, has been a constant in my life since she was conceived. She’s my little BFF—extremely intelligent, mature, kind, and even more lovable. Scout makes friends easily and genuinely cares for those close to her—hugs are nonnegotiable. As her mother, I have a duty to protect her overall wellbeing, and I am reaching out for help during this unexpected financial hardship.

Given recent events with Scout's father, we are facing a long and extremely important legal battle to have the current custody order revised. The current order is a true 50/50 split with no financial support, despite her father earning nearly twice what I make. I would accept no support over her being away from her safe haven, her home, and mother for 7 days at a time. A more reasonable arrangement is necessary to ensure Scout’s wellbeing. The funds raised will go directly to legal fees associated with securing a much more reasonable custody agreement that will benefit her mental, emotional, and physical health.
