Hannah, Lewis and Ellie
Donation protected
Ellie was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth. These defects, which affect the structure of the heart, cause oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and to the rest of the body. It was known from the beginning that she would need to undergo difficult heart surgery through the early stages of her life. Throughout March 2022 Ellie underwent surgery multiple times and the team at the hospital were amazing. Post surgery, Ellie was placed on an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) machine used to pump and oxygenate blood outside the body, allowing the heart and lungs to rest. Following difficulties after taking her off of the ECMO, Ellie sadly lost her fight on the 26th March.
Lewis and Hannah have been the most fantastic parents to beautiful little Ellie for the past seven months. They have battled together relentlessly over the past few weeks, and the strength they have all shown has been nothing short of inspirational.

Ellie fought so bravely, and she was surrounded by so much love. Lewis and Hannah have a new battle to fight now, a much darker one. One that many of us don't know how to help them fight. I know I don't, so I thought I would set this up so that maybe those that want to help but don't know how can give a little light to them in some form. Please note, at this current time Hannah and Lewis are unaware of the Go Fund Me in order to give them some space during their time of mourning - please respect their privacy for the time being and we will inform Hannah and Lewis when the timing is right.
Lewis and Hannah haven't had much chance to go on any big adventures together (sight seeing that is - they aren't short of life adventures!) - Donations can go towards flights, hotels and other travel expenses so that they can make some new memories to tell Ellie all about. Any leftover funds can then be used to tackle the list of jobs they have for their garden and house whilst they are on their trip.
Lewis, Hannah, Ellie - we all love you very much. Although this won't take away the pain, maybe it can help to pass on a smile or two.
