Help me lead 12 Guides and Rangers to India
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Hanna, a passionate Girlguiding volunteer from Sonning Common, Oxfordshire. For over five years, I’ve had the joy and privilege of leading young girls through their Guiding journey. I’ve helped them grow in confidence, learn new skills and become empowered young women. I currently lead both the 1st Sonning Common Rainbows and Guides unit and every week I’m inspired by the energy, curiosity and kindness of our members.
I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to join a team of leaders taking twelve young members aged 15 to 18 to India in August 2026. While there, the young members will:
- Take part in a Community Action Project
- Meet Girl Guides from around the world
- Learn about global leadership and Indian culture
These trips are only possible because of volunteers like me, but they come with a financial cost. That’s why I’m fundraising to help cover the expenses of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Why I’m Fundraising
The total cost of the trip includes travel, accommodation, insurance and programme fees. While I’m contributing as much as I can and organising local fundraising events, I still need your support to help make this dream a reality.
Why It Matters
Girlguiding is more than just badges and campfires. It is about building confidence, leadership and community spirit in girls and young women. Did you know?
- Girls in Guiding are up to 23 percent more confident than the UK average
- 96 percent of girls in Guiding have helped their communities in the past year
- They are 36 percent more likely to take action for their local community or the environment.
