For nearly ten years, Hands with Heart Foundation has partnered with local teams around the world to strengthen systems and bring high-quality holistic rehabilitation and healthcare to children with disabilities. Our missions are not one-time volunteer trips. They are part of a partnership - a commitment to walk together with communities on a journey towards an inclusive future.
Hands with Heart is now launching a Sustainability Fund to grow our ability to provide the core infrastructure and predictable resources these communities need so that every child and family receives consistent, year-round support, long after each mission departs.
Building a Legacy
With support from this fund, Hands with Heart will be able to
- Strengthen mentorship opportunities community health workers and therapists in the countries where we work
- Expand training opportunities and social support for parents and caregivers who face stigma and lack of resources
- Deepen our support to the local partners who support children and families year-round through co-designed initiatives
How Your Gift Creates Sustainable Impact
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us to reach children with disabilities who are often forgotten, hidden, and left behind. Below are examples of how we can transform your gift into impact
- $50 - Therapy supplies for one child for one month
- $100 - One family’s participation in a local caregiver training workshop
- $250 - One in-country mentorship session for a local therapist
- $500 - One virtual capacity building webinar for local therapists and students
- $1,000 - Research and evaluation pilot to better understand the impact of our work on families and local communities.
Our Local Partners
- In Bali, we work with Dhyana Pura University and grassroots rehabilitation centers to co-create culturally-aligned therapy models.
- In Costa Rica, we partner with DAWE Association and community health clinics to integrate disability-inclusive care into public health services in remote and indigenous communities.
These collaborations ensure local professionals lead each program element—embedding sustainability in every step.
