Handmade Hope: Blankets for the poor

I recently started to learn how to crochet and i love it! I had a really good idea to help contribute to my church. My goal is to crochet 50 -100 blankets to later donate to the poor when the weather starts to get cold and for Christmas. It breaks my heart seeing families that are unable to afford houses and proper clothing. Even though I sadly cannot put a roof over their head or provide a heated space and a place to lay their head i know i can do my part in taking time to make a thick warm blanket for them to carry on their back. As a 16 year old i need help raising money so i am able to get the amount of yarn needed and to make this happen!!
