Hand-delivered Care to the Homeless

Donation protected
The holiday season is here, and many of us are gearing up to sit down at the Thanksgiving table and hit the shops during what we have now extended to 'Black Friday Weekend.'  It seems there is no escaping over-indulgence, and so we loosen our belts and our purse strings yet another year because that's just what we always do.

And are you feeling satisfied?
I'm not, and I am on a mission to change that this December.

I've happily found myself with an abundance of Paid-Time-Off days to use or lose between now and the end of the year, and so I've decided to put my time to better use than a Netflix binge of epic proportions.  I'll be spending my new-found days off from work preparing care packages for the homeless, and hitting the streets & subways of NYC  to seek out those in need.

If taking care of someone else sounds like something that would make your heart full and your own holiday season brighter, I'm inviting you to contribute to the effort.

Don't worry.
I got you.
I'll do all the heavy lifting if you go fund me.

100% of funds will be used to purchase the essential items below and hand-deliver individual care packages to those who need them:

The Coalition for the Homeless reports: "Each night thousands of unsheltered homeless people sleep on New York City streets, in the subway system, and in other public spaces.   Over the course of City fiscal year 2017, more than 129,803 different homeless men, women, and children slept in the New York City municipal shelter system. There is no accurate measurement of New York City’s unsheltered homeless population, and recent City surveys significantly underestimate the number of unsheltered homeless New Yorkers."

We can't reach 130,000 people, but let's see how many we can give to.

I'm starting with a goal of $500: Thanksgiving, 11/23 thru 12/17.

Each  dollar bill means we get to give one more item to someone without.  Any donation amount is beyond appreciated.

We rise by lifting others.
