Hi Family,

During my last visit with Grandma in December I noticed she is struggling a lot with her knee and moving around—a big difference even from when I saw her last in August. I’m not sure that everyone knows, but in the last few months she’s had a few scares with some falls. She has a difficult time stepping in and out of her shower because it also has a bathtub. I’ve been thinking that it would be a wonderful gift if we could come together and help raise money to have her shower converted into a walk in shower. Grandma has done so much for our family and now this is an opportunity for us to be able to do something for her. We are still getting details on the project cost but we are estimating it to be around $8000, whatever you are able to pitch in will help. Aunt Lisa isn’t aware of this fundraiser and I’m thinking it would be nice to keep it a secret from her as well. I know she is already planning to make these adjustments to her home (and more) so she will be grateful for the help. The cost is an estimate but will include demo, plumbing, reconfiguration, material and labor.
